Description

The official BBC Learning English app is a fantastic, simple-to-use package that brings together all of the user’s favourite lessons and presenters. It is considered to be the best way to keep one’s English up to date. The app has received positive comments and feedback from users, and the month of May is set to make it even better. This month, the app is introducing its first series for low level learners – English My Way. It also has a new series called British Chat, which helps users speak more naturally by using real English to talk about everyday topics without a script.

Users can download audio programmes to listen offline. The app also provides daily updates of fun and topical lessons, transcripts, and quizzes to help users practice a little bit of English every day. The app features built-in transcripts and subtitles for watching or listening again after practicing listening and reading skills. Quizzes are also available to test users’ understanding and the app remembers their scores so they can keep trying until they get the result they want.

The app is designed to be used on the go, as the programme keeps playing in the background even if the screen is turned off. This means users can be on the bus, travelling by train, flying, walking, or running and still have the perfect lesson in their ear.

Other features of the app include new lessons daily, notifications to help users continue their learning, and easy-to-find programmes listed by series name or category such as Everyday English, Learn English with the News, Business English, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Pronunciation. Users can also follow their favourite series. The app provides access to all of BBC Learning English’s most popular programmes, including The English We Speak, 6 Minute English, English at Work, English in a Minute, Tim’s Pronunciation Workshop, LingoHack, and News Review.
